Nel primo quarto il solo Gabriele sembra non essere vittima del gelido torpore che sembra avvolgere la Squadra di casa, che dopo un lungo periodo (quasi 4 minuti!) in cui i canestri di via Pera possono dormire anch'essi sonni tranquilli, subisce poi il giuoco della ben più aggressiva e arrembante Squadra del Ghezzano... se la difesa gialloblù non è particolarmente brillante (con la parziale scusante di un metro arbitrale senz'altro equo ma abbastanza permissivo che finisce per esaltare la grinta e la determinazione dei ragazzi di Ghezzano), l'attacco è addirittura latitante.
